How to Play
Rishta Aunty Cards are fun, insightful conversation cards that gets everyone talking about relationships, expectations, and what really matters when thinking about a potential life partner.
There are a few ways to play, so you can choose what works best for your group.
1. Play with Friends or Family
This is the classic way to play:
- Pick one person to be the Rishta Case – the person currently speaking to a potential match.
- Everyone else takes turns drawing a card and asking the question.
- The Rishta Case answers the question either about themselves or about their potential.
- Everyone in the group can jump in with their own experiences, opinions, or advice – whether married or single.
- If a question doesn’t feel right for the moment, the Rishta Case or the group can skip it.
2. Play with the Potential Themselves
This version works best if you want to explore expectations and perspectives directly with your potential. Here are two ways to play this depending on how well you know them already:
- Option A (‘Dream Partner’): Each person answers what they generally expect or would want from their future partner. This can be played even if you don’t know each other well.
- Option B (‘Reality Check’): Each person answers what they think their potentials would say, and the other confirms or elaborates. This works best if you already know each other.
